Welcome to Backer ! This is an almost fully working demonstration of Backer that will expire in 30 days. Backer is a Control Panel that performs automatic backup copies of your documents. At last, you'll have peace of mind by knowing you are able at any time to retrieve the old copies of your documents.
It's easy to use and requires very little memory to install.
Description
Each time you modify a document, a backup copy is created in a folder at the same level as the document you are working with. You will also be able to define what types of documents and how many you want to back up and later decide which copies to save and which ones to erase.
A hypertext in-line Help documentation is included in the Control Panel. This documentation can be accessed even if Backer is not installed yet. To read it, just double-click on the Backer icon and select the Help button.
New features
This new version of Backer includes some new capabilities :
･ Alias resolution while selecting a folder.
･ Backer can now save all the copies in a single folder which can be located on an external volume.
･ Now you can specify any number of security copies.
Requirements
Any macintosh (needs 6.0.5 or newer).
Backer uses very little memory (about 60 Kb) of your system.
Installation
To install Backer, just place its icon :

in the Control Panel folder and restart your computer.
Distribution
Backer is shareware ! If, after the 30 days trial, you do not intend to use Backer, we ask you to either throw it away or pass it along to someone else to review. If you do intend to use it, then please use the Registration Card included in the Control Panel.
